 Infos of environmentVorpommern has the most beautiful, most varied Baltic Sea coast of Germany, in addition, the hinterland offers nature from the finest. Anklam, the district town of Ostvorpommern - and thus the position of our hotel - is the ideal starting point, in order to explore Vorpommern with its singular nature and its hospitable humans.  Anklam is worth already a journey. History and many landmarks offer some surprise. Did you know that the German flight pioneer Otto Lilienthal was born in Anklam? Much information around this famous character you can find in the Otto Lilienthal museum. As starting point for a city tour the local history museum in the ancient city gate `Steintor´ with its changing exhibitions is recommended. Also the well-known theatre offers an interesting program. Directly however the hinterland (aft behind dyke) has attractions for nature lovers.  In particular for bikers and waterwanderer many possibilities are offered. Explore with boat, canoe or bike the nearly unaffected landscape of the `Amazon of the north´ as well as the nature beautifulnesses of the backwater and heath landscape. Here there are landscapes from which one means, they would exist only in America. During a bike tour to Kamp at the `Peenestrom´ you can experience the unique landscape of the `Anklamer Stadtbruch´. The ferryman ferries you also willingly across the `Peenestrom´ to Karnin/Usedom, where you should try a hefty fish dish in the numerous restaurants. From there you have a beautiful sight to the once latest  vertical railroad lift bridge of Europe. In direct proximity there are many castles, e.g. the castle ruin Landskron, the castle Klempenow with its many meetings, the castle Spantekow, the Müggenburg, the surge tank Quilow or castle Neetzow... The Baltic Sea island Usedom with the emperor baths Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin as well as the Baltic Sea baths Zinnowitz and Koserow lie before our `entry door´. A excursion to the sun-richest island of Germany is be worth at each season.  The sea-bridge in Ahlbeck is an in demand trip goal. Also up to the Baltic Sea island Rügen, to the Hanseatic city Stralsund, to the Hanseatic city Greifswald as well as to the harbour city Stettin in Poland it is not far. For travels to Scandinavia and Poland our hotel is suitable outstanding as overnight accomodation. Bring along your own bike or take a bike from us for an unforgettable experience.
